Acer 15-inch and 17-inch Aspire V Nitro series laptops. These laptops look slick and offer cutting edge performance for tackling things like photo and video editing or playing games and watching Blu-ray movies. For those looking for even more performance, Acer is also announcing a special Aspire V Nitro Black Edition.

The V Nitro series laptops feature a premium design with a cutting-edge look, sharp as a blade, and a slim profile measuring under 2.5cm. The top of the laptop (the lid) is built with Nan imprint Lithography (NIL) technology that has an intricate metal pattern that gives it a soft touch. The V Nitro series will be available in 15-inch and 17-inch models with beautiful Full HD IPS displays. They have In-Plane Switching technology from Acer that provides a wide viewing angle so you or others can see what is on your screen clearly from a variety of angles. They also have amazing audio with 4 built-in speakers with 8W output total and Dolby Digital Plus Home Theatre Dialog Enhancement technology that works to limit interference from background sounds to reduce dialogue intelligibility.

Acer avoids branding this range as 'gaming laptops' instead preferring to cast its marketing nets wider: "Built for full immersion, the V Nitro series offers the power and features to tackle demanding multimedia apps including photo and video editing software, and graphic-intensive entertainment applications with rich visuals and booming audio, such as watching Blu-Ray movies or playing the latest games". It adds that the most demanding users would benefit the most from the top of the range 'Aspire V Nitro Black Edition'. The Black Edition laptops provide a special 'Turbo mode' for high performance use which speeds up fans (19 per cent faster) resulting in cooler (11 per cent) CPU and GPU temperatures.

On the inside, the V Nitro series laptops come powered by the latest 4th generation Intel Core or Intel SV processors and NVIDIA GeForce graphics (up to 860M). Inside the Black Edition V Nitro series laptops is special dust-removal design called Dust Defender that uses the laptop’s high-speed metal fan to remove internal build-up of dust. This helps extend the product’s lifecycle and enhances performance while quietly keeping the laptop cool.
The Black Edition V Nitro series laptops has a special “Turbo Mode” that can be manually activated when heavy use requires added ventilation and enables 19% faster fan speed, and 11% lower CPU/GPU temperatures. V Nitro series laptops come with optional Blu-ray and M-Disc drives. And you can get up to 1TB of hard drive storage with the option for 256GB SSD storage.
